Career Highlights

After earning my BS degree in Computer Information Systems, I began my career at the Pacific Stock Exchange in San Francisco, the largest trading platform on the West Coast. Starting as a new hire, I quickly advanced to IT Manager, where I played a pivotal role in expanding the trading business. At the turn of the millennium, as traditional terminal-based trading transitioned to handheld devices, I served as a key contributor to hardware acquisition, network readiness, and software testing. Acting as a bridge between option traders and the IT development team, I ensured the seamless transition to a more reliable and user-friendly trading platform, reporting directly to the CTO of Cutler Group, LP.

Following the post-9/11 economic downturn, I took the opportunity to further refine my business acumen by pursuing an MBA. Shortly thereafter, I joined Target as a flagship store manager, leveraging my expertise in technology and business to train and lead employees in adapting to the evolving retail landscape. I found great fulfillment in mastering the precision of retail sales and logistics while shaping my people-centric leadership style. Recognized for my capabilities, I was selected by the regional VP to lead the second-largest flagship store remodel in Target’s history—an $8 million project. Over a year, through 12-hour shifts and countless sleepless nights of planning and execution, we completed the remodel on schedule. Remarkably, the store not only maintained but exceeded its previous sales figures, despite the daily restructuring of sales spaces during construction.

In 2012, with Steve Jobs’ biography in my carry-on, I embarked on a transformative journey, joining Apple Inc. as a Foreign Direct Hire manager to support its rapid expansion in the Chinese market. My time at Apple’s global flagship store in Shanghai was marked by groundbreaking initiatives, including leading China’s first connected iPhone pilot program. By bridging partnerships between Apple and China’s telecom carriers, I helped overcome long-standing market perceptions and technical barriers, laying the foundation for a sustainable, carrier-integrated iPhone business model in China. Additionally, I led the successful launch of the iPhone 5 at the Shanghai flagship store, pioneering the transition from in-person queues to Apple’s now-standard online reservation system.

Returning to San Francisco, I played a key role in launching Apple’s new flagship store, overseeing all operational functions—from sales and service to training and logistics. During the pandemic, I extended my expertise to Apple’s Global Logistics team as a Global Supply Manager, contributing to the optimization of supply chain operations during unprecedented disruptions.

My recent tenure at LVMH has further refined my ability to elevate luxury service and sales, with a focus on cultivating long-term client relationships while driving short-term financial returns through strategic events and calendar-driven initiatives. In today’s digital-first world, I emphasize the importance of genuine human connection over transactional convenience, ensuring that our clients experience true care and appreciation. As we navigate the intersection of evolving consumer expectations and disruptive technologies like AI, I am committed to driving innovation that balances progress with the fundamental human touch that defines exceptional customer experiences.

About Me

I’m a down-to-earth guy who’s hit the jackpot with a wonderful wife and two teenage sons who keep life interesting. When I’m not exploring new places or mingling with friends and family, you’ll find me indulging my creative side.

Armed with my iPhone, I capture the world through my lens, finding art in everyday moments. My passion extends to painting and sculpting, and I often invest in captivating pieces from talented artists. Every so often, inspiration strikes, and I dive into crafting my own masterpieces.

Aware that life offers around 30,000 days, I strive to make each one count by eating well and staying active. While extreme sports enthusiasts have my admiration, my adrenaline fixes come from annual ski adventures in Lake Tahoe and jet-skiing summers at Donner Lake. To balance work and play, I incorporate daily treadmill sessions and rely on the BetterMe app to keep me on track.
